Personal grooming:

I wouldn't recommend trying out new skin techniques that you haven't tried before prior to shooting. It may not be the best time to try self-tanning if there's the possibility of it going south. Less is often more. I've absolutely made this mistake. Adobe is a miracle.

Moisturize skin to ensure a healthy glow and drink plenty of water leading up to your session. The healthiest and happiest you is the hottest you!

Shave or wax any unwanted hair, if desired. Trim and shape eyebrows for a polished look.

Cut or style hair as desired, ensuring it's clean and manageable. If you're local and need some help in this regard, I have a list of hair specialists that would be honored to serve you! Just give me a holler and I can get those connected to you!

Nail Care

Trim and file nails to desired length and shape.

Apply nail polish or manicure as desired, ensuring nails are clean and well-groomed.

Skin and makeup:

I highly advise my clients who are willing to get their makeup professionally done. A few of my packages include a professional MUA but if you rather hire separately, I also have a lovely list of references in Washington State who can paint faces beautifully!

It really makes the biggest impact on your final pictures and it is also one less preparation detail to worry about on your own accord! WIN/WIN!

Eat, sleep, and hydrate well leading up to your photoshoot. Looking good and feeling good go hand in hand!
